AusHomeValue

Privacy policy

Your information, handled with purpose.

This policy explains what AusHomeValue collects, why we use it and the choices available to you.

Effective: 16 July 2026

Questions, access requests, corrections, deletion requests or privacy complaints can be sent to info@aushomevalue.com.au.

1. Information we collect

2. Why we use it

We use information to provide and restore reports, process requested services and payments, review evidence, improve data quality and security, prevent misuse, respond to support requests, meet legal obligations and—with separate optional consent—send marketing communications.

3. Service messages and marketing are separate

We may send messages necessary to deliver or administer a service you request, such as a report link, security notice or support reply. Promotional email, SMS or calls require the applicable consent. Marketing consent is optional, is not required to receive a report, and can be withdrawn at any time by using an unsubscribe option or contacting us.

4. Uploaded material

Uploaded evidence is used for the requested property review and related support, not to enrol you in marketing. Do not upload unnecessary identity documents, bank information, signatures or information about another person unless you have authority. More detail is in our Uploaded Evidence Handling Notice.

5. Sharing and service providers

We may provide the minimum necessary information to hosting, database, analytics, email, document-processing, customer-support and payment providers acting for us. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. We do not sell uploaded documents or personal contact details.

6. Overseas processing

Cloud and technology providers may process or store information outside Australia. Provider locations can change. We take reasonable steps to select reputable providers and apply contractual, access and security controls appropriate to the information.

7. Retention and security

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the stated purpose, service continuity, dispute handling and legal requirements. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online system is risk-free. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

8. Access, correction and deletion

You may ask for access to or correction of your personal information, withdraw marketing consent, or request deletion. Some information may need to be retained where law, security, fraud prevention or transaction records require it. We may verify identity before acting on a request.

9. Cookies and analytics

We may use essential browser storage and limited analytics to keep sessions working, remember preferences, measure performance and improve the service. Browser settings can restrict storage, although some features may then not work.

10. Complaints and changes

Send a privacy complaint to our email above with enough detail for us to investigate. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you remain dissatisfied and the Privacy Act applies, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. We may update this policy and will publish the revised effective date.

This policy is designed with the Australian Privacy Principles in mind where they apply.
